St. Patrick's Day #lucky2BTeachers Challenge

Our class is beginning a project to become videographers for the week.  We are going to go around to different teachers and record their answers to the question: Why do you feel lucky to be a teacher?  I can't wait to hear all the responses.  Then we are going to put them all together and post them on our school website.  I believe it will be a positive experience for both the students and the teachers.  Also, the parents will get to see a little more about what makes Valdese Elementary the greatest school ever!!!!

emaze presentations are EEEEmazing

So on my exciting trip to NCTIES, I discovered an ahhhmazing presentation site called emaze and they are the bomb!!! I have decided to use these presentations for my lesson plans, which I know sounds bazonkers, but it will save me so much time.  Plus, that is exactly how my brain works.  I am not a color inside (or write my plans inside) a box kind of teacher.  I am over the top excited about it and know it is going to help keep me so much more settled and organized by having all the links, websites and activities that I will do for the week all in one place

NCTIES 2015

I am so very excited that I had the opportunity, not only to attend NCTIES and glean so much knowledge from all the other presenters and speakers, but also to be a presenter.  I made so many connections, that I know will make my classroom a connection hub for my students.  I am so full of energy, ideas and inspiration right now I could burst!!! I cannot wait to get back to my firsties on Monday so I can share with them and "play" with all the new ideas I discovered!!!! I could not imagine doing anything with my life except to teach.  I am SOOOOO very blessed.  Also, now our class has its own Twitter and soon we will have our own YouTube channel as well!!!
